Downtown Las Vegas

Picture
Located just a few miles north of the Riviera off of Las Vegas Blvd and an easy ride via The Deuce (double decker bus). This is what many these days refer to as old Vegas.  Probably because it is still reminiscent of the old days with all of the many historic casinos and all of the neon that Las Vegas was famous for before they revamped the strip in to an adult "Disneyland".  You really should plan on spending one evening downtown as there is a lot to see in a smaller area plus you won't want to miss the Freemont Street Experience.  Other than the light show at the FSE, there really is not much for kids to do downtown other than check out the little shops along Freemont or to grab a bite to eat with you since the Neonopolis mall closed.

This is one of the few places you can still find those incredible food bargains that Las Vegas used to be famous for.  Be sure to check out our LINKS page for some of the deals that you can still get in Las Vegas.

So many bargains can be found downtown. From food, beverages & souvenirs, this is the place to find some of the best bargains. For gaming enthusiasts, you can also find much lower table limits and better odds downtown than you can on the strip.

  • Get your photo take with $1 million at Binions
  • Check out the shark in the pool at the Golden Nugget
  • Built in 1906, the Golden Gate is the oldest hotel still in Vegas
  • Some of the "loosest" slots in all of Las Vegas can be found downtown
  • $.99 cent shrimp cocktail
  • $4.99 steak & eggs!
  • $7.98 prime rib dinners
  • $7.77 buffet dinners
  • $.99 cent hot dogs
  • So much more. Check out our LINKS page with more info on bargains!
